RCOMSResidential & Commercial Wiring
About

An electrical contractor that does both sides of the trade.

RCOMS LLC is an electrical contractor doing residential and commercial electrical wiring. That means a house that needs a new panel and a building that needs its switchgear reworked are both our kind of job, and neither is treated as the small one.

Two electricians reviewing a drawing on a job site

Wiring is a trade, and it is done properly or it is not done.

Most electrical work is hidden. It goes inside a wall, above a ceiling, behind a panel cover, and nobody sees it again until something fails. That is the whole reason this trade has a code, and the reason we work to it rather than around it.

In practice that shows up in small things: conductors sized to the load instead of to what was on the truck, grounds and bonding done the way they are supposed to be, and a panel left labeled so the next electrician can read it.

We take on homes and commercial buildings both. A residential service upgrade and a commercial panelboard replacement are different jobs, but the standard does not change between them.

How we work

We look before we price

An electrical price given over the phone without seeing the property is a guess. We come out, look at the panel, the existing wiring and the actual conditions, and quote the job from what is really there.

The work is installed to code

Conductors sized for the load, grounds and bonding done properly, boxes and supports where they belong. What is behind the drywall is the part that has to be right.

You get a panel you can read

A panel schedule that is filled in and accurate, every breaker identified. It costs us a few minutes and saves the next person an hour of switching circuits to find out what feeds what.

Residential and commercial, both done properly

A house and a commercial building ask different things of an electrician. We work in both, which means one contractor can handle the shop, the office and the house on the same property.
